When I began to walk dogs professionally, I realized how wonderful life would be if all of my clients’ dogs knew how to walk properly. Finally, in a fit of self preservation I began to train every dog I got. Then I taught their owners some handling skills, and a little dog psychology.
Within weeks my walks became artful, the dogs trying to impress me, loving the work — even Jake, a pit bull mix who wanted to eat me alive when we first met. Walking dogs felt like a dance and people actually stopped me on the street to compliment the dogs. I had discovered the Art of the Walk, and so had the dogs. Soon I started hearing that dogs were better behaved at home, calmer, more tuned in. In fact, nasty behaviors were disappearing fast and my clients were thrilled. When neighbors and friends starting asking for help I realized how few people really know how to walk a dog effortlessly, let alone establish pack leadership quickly and easily.
So let us teach you and your dog the Art of the Walk. We'll teach your dog how to dance. Then we'll teach you how to lead.
All things begin with the Walk.
